WHY THIS EXISTS

Most of what connects my devices — coordination servers, DNS resolvers, relay infrastructure — runs on hardware I don't own, governed by terms I didn't write. That's fine for a lot of things. It stopped being fine for the network holding my own systems together.

So: a coordination plane I run instead of rent. Not because every default is wrong — but because I'd rather know exactly what's running, and why, than take it on faith.

This isn't a finished product. It's a working system, built one fixed bug at a time, that happens to answer to me first.
